Roxio GameCap HD Pro - 60FPS

Capturing:

To get 60fps video captures from the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro, your console has be set to 720p/1080i for the capture to actually be in 60fps.

After playing around, you can really see the difference between 60 and 30 fps when recording. I recommend that you use 720p if you want to get the best quality for the 60fps video capture.
My Notes:

  • The Roxio Game Capture HD Pro is only capable of capturing 60fps if your resolution is 720p/1080i
  • If capturing 720p puts a strain on your computer, try 1080i

Updates-3/10/15
~you can capture PC footage in 60fps if the output of the second screen is at a 1280x720 resolution(second monitor/or different PC only).
>>> if you are doing dual screen set-up, games have to run in windowed mode(unless you have found an alternative)
~play around see if it works or not.

Roxio GameCap HD Pro - Capture Card

The Roxio Game Capture HD Pro is a great capture card for anyone who is interested into capturing gameplay footage. Being improved over its predecessor, the Roxio GameCap HD Pro supports HDMI and up to 1080p video capture recording. This capture card has decent video quailty, good features, and has a nice sleek design.
First let start with the video quality of the capture card. When recording gameplay/video the video quality is truly amazing and actual capture can be up to 1080p. The devices Component/HDMI pass-through works and looks just like it was connected directly from the console to the TV, but the component cables has audio noticeably lower than average. The audio can be fixed during rendering the video.

The capture card features and new feature that was added later by software update. When previewing your video, you can grab a screenshot image of anything that's being played on the preview screen. Pre-Roll was a new feature that was added for the ability to up to 1 hour of footage and save it if you want. The cool feature that makes it stand from its successor is to live stream to Twitch.TV and YouTube.

Design of the device is pretty nice. All your inputs on one side, and outputs on the other. A single USB2.0 is used for data transfers and power for the capture card. since relying on a single USB source for power/data it has a more clean look. Small little touch is it also has a Roxio Arrow Light that lights up!

Overall, I'd say Roxio Game Caputre HD Pro great for showcasing your gaming moments. After testing, capturing or live streaming your content could never been easier than this. So I'd just got to say that it does have flaws but when it works, it works!

                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pros(+):
+Supports HDMI + Component
+Supports up to 1080p/30  + 1080i/720p(60FPS)
+Twitch.TV Live Steam
                ---------------------------------------
+Can Pre-Roll (Service Pack 2.0 update)
+YouTube Live Stream (Service Pack 2.0 update)

Cons(-):
-HDMI pass through does not work when computer is off
-Audio from Component Cable input is a little Soft
-Does have Glitching problems

My Notes:

  • If your going to capturing a lot I say your going to need 500GB+ Hard Drive.
  • For no video-audio lag/jerk/glitches you may need a good computer (sometimes restarting the computer fixes the problem)
  • The "Enhance Picture" option gives you the option to fine tune your image, note that is does effect HDMI output(on screen TV) as well

Would I recommend the Roxio GameCap HD Pro? Yes and No, No as in the device does not pass through HDMI while computer is turned-off. Yes as in in it fully functional if your able to use it properly

Hiking to the top (2014)

Made it to the top of the Hill.  The Scene was very nice and the tree from the other distance was breathtaking.  Climbing up was worth the view. #Hiking
